January brought The start of wedding season !

The models were extremely easy to work with and very beautiful making my job very easy .


We've had new faces in the salon ,and wedding booking s for up to June .
There's a strong vintage theme for wedding of 2013 .So this being my SPECIALITY VINTAGE HAIR I'm loving it .

FEBRUARY brings VALENTINES balls .... HAIR UPS. & GLAMOUR.
I'm attending the BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION ball this month ,hosted by my very dear friend Amy smeaton .
I'm looking forward to be styling many of the guests attending this event .

This Tuesday TIGI are in our salon for a training in colour day .
I love these days. Getting the chance to experiment with there new collections and pushing the products uses .

Our clients through January have really been adventurous .Wanting revamped hair styles and new colour requests .
January is always quieter in the salon so this is a great time for us to play .

We started the new year with a new team .
And what a wonderful way to promote them by photos .......

I'm working again this Wednesday on a PHOTOGRAPHIC BOUDOIR shoot for a client .
This are proofing very popular .
Taken in hotel rooms or clients home ,that are very tasteful yet incredibly sexy
Perfect VALENTINE gift .

I was asked by EDWARD HEMMING from Alan d hair design To be the MUA for his models for the FELLOWSHIP stage at PRO LIVE in Manchester again .
Oh the battle as a mother and business woman .
My daughter has her cheer comp the same day and of course that comes first ,so I can't attend pro live . Gutted!

My husband and I are with team are going to the show on the Monday to be inspired by all the amazing show stands and demos .

Well this week !!! The has been asked for our vintage styling to travel to knaresborough .

Barker and stonehouse have been est since 1940.

They open there flag ship store on december 12 th . We will be styling all there guests and press.

Katy & i have bookings galore for our bling & bag parties . Including broughton primary schools Xmas fair . Where we're also taking our portable princess station to offer princess make overs on the kids .

We've princess party booking @ clients homes starting this Sunday ..I love these , seeing the kids faces when they see themselves in the mirror.

Vintage fairs dates . 15& 16 the December @ Brockhalls nature reserve.

This week I've seen my junior of 4 years go onto pastures new. Always hard as they become your family & baby's .
Natasha who helped at the Preston guild weekend ( previously @ Nicky Clarke ) will be joining our team from December 4 th ! I'm excited to see what she has to bring to the salon .......always good for team moral clients fresh ideas.
Emily our lovely Saturday girl is just fining her feet . Ready for the Xmas mental time

In between my daily ideas & challenges , I've reflected on the past year (2012).

I'm thrilled with how well the salon has moved forward this year. And what such amazing events we've been involved with ( Preston guild , uclan& in salon photoshoots, vintage fairs and styling for films) . And now the store opening .

All this above is fab and exciting , but! The biggest achievement is to be still supported by our amazing client base . Sadly many salons closed at the beginning of this year due to the tough economic climate . You can never predict how times will change . But I intend to do my hardest to keep my loyal clients happy ... I'm so grateful to them & for there support !!!

I've found a new sanity ( spinning ) its 45 mins of loosing my mind in a burn!!!! I'd love to hate it but I keep returning . And it's time all about me for that time .

This was an amazing event for us.a min Preston guild event ! We offered our usual services of make overs .many attended and we had great press coverage by the Lancashire evening post . Organisers were horsley Henderson .

So inspirational . I learnt lots of new ideas for the salon ,and also reminded myself of many things i should be doing.
It was really great meeting other salon owners, to share your day to day worries, ideas,and love of our trade .
Weve gained many new face since our guild apearance , it seems to of raised our profile /(yipee).
